Case Studies

Big University v. Little Player

Client was a music hall situated in Ohio. The client utilized design marks to market its establishment and performances. A Big Ten University issued a cease-and-desist alleging client infringed upon multiple marks of the university. T I attorney analyzed the marks in question, use of marks, and registrations. At the conclusion of deliberations, T I successfully terminated the allegations and client continued utilizing the marks for its business endeavors.

A Beauty Worth Protecting

Client developed and maintained a skin care line. A USPTO examining attorney initially rejected the mark on a Section 2(d) basis claiming similarity of marks and relatedness of goods associated with marks. T I successfully defended against the claims through analyzing and presenting arguments supported by case law and analogous matters resulting in client successfully registering mark on the principal register.

Client engaged multiple musicians and performing artists. T I led negotiation and development of multiple licenses including mechanical and master recording licenses. Client successfully produced the production and accompanying music to sold out audiences.
